In the end I used Fantastico and it got me in a real bind when I had problems with my host. Luckily, I had you to move my blog for me. It is always best to do your own upgrades because the instant a newer version of WordPress is released you really should upgrade. Also, a nice thing with WordPress 2.7 and above, the automatic upgrade plugin is no longer needed because WordPress now has the auto upgrade feature built right in.
