He has a family to support and was tired of working as a trail guide, and I had only myself to support and was tired of red tape and office politics. We didn't have a formal plan back then, other than the fact we both knew we could write. Through a lot of trial and error, things began to take shape. It's not easy, there are still headaches and hassles, but they're <em>our</em> headaches and hassles, and at the end of the day you can't beat the sense of accomplishment at a job well done. Cool. :)
