As a newbie myself, I was tremendously confused and ambivalent about going with a hosted blog. My publisher said to use blogger.com, but then I started reading some of the "A-listers" blogs, and they unanimously recommended a hosted blog. This may be an issue with other newbies--I don't know. I do know that I dreaded the thought of having to learn the techie stuff to get my blog running--then I stumbled across your site, and problem solved. Just some food for thought.

WP Blog Host saved my blog from disaster. Now I know that might seem like a bold claim to make about a hosting company, but it’s true.
A couple of years ago, I was in the same situation you may be in now. I wanted a WordPress blog but I didn’t have a clue about WordPress, so I wanted a quick and easy solution. And like many people do, I opted for one of the big hosting companies. Trouble is with those companies, most of the reviews are written by folks who are making money through recommending them.
For a while, the large impersonal hosting company I used was ok. But as my blog became more popular things began to go wrong. Whenever I had a traffic spike, the blog would go down. Then earlier this year, every bloggers nightmare happened. I received an email to say that they had disabled my blog and in 2 weeks time, they would delete it all together. Well, I was worried. They’d prevented me from accessing my blog, so I didn’t have a clue how I was going to move it.
Lucky for me, John Hoff was about to launch WP Blog Host and he offered to take me on as a new customer. WP Blog Host was able to access my blog, even though my original host had locked me out and move it to their hosting service. They really did save my blog. If it wasn’t for them, that would have been over 500 pages of work gone.
Now I don’t know any other hosting company who does anything like that for their customers. But despite the superior service and all the included extras, they are no more expensive than the big inefficient companies.
You could do what I did and take a chance on one of the bigger companies. If your blog doesn’t become successful, you may not need to worry about the risk of losing all your work. But why take the risk? I highly recommend using WP Blog Host to launch your blog – that way, you know your blog is safe and secure. And if you need extra help, you can be confident that you’ll always hear back from a real person, not just some automated script.

What I liked about WP Blog Host was the fact that they don't lie about paying for your hosting monthly. Other companies display a monthly price but if you look closely, it says (if paid annually). Come to find out, either you pay more if you want to pay monthly or in most cases, they didn't even offer real monthly hosting.

I knew I was in good hands when I hired John from WP Blog Host to upgrade my WordPress blog.
The last time I tried to do this myself, it was a disaster. Within hours he had completed the upgrade and added additional security features to my blog. It was a seamless operation.
For a very reasonable investment I received quite an extensive, and clearly outlined explanation of what steps he had taken for both the WordPress upgrade and the Security upgrade. He also completed a full backup of my blog. He educated me about the possible risks that plug-ins can pose when they are easily accessible for hackers to use as leverage to access a site. My plug-in directory is now only able to be seen by my eyes only.

As a technically challenged writer / blogger, I was concerned about the security of my growing blog. I’ve heard horrible stories … my friend who was using Blogspot got hacked and lost access to her own blog, which had about 3000 subscribers. Another friend, who had his own domain, had problems accessing to his WordPress dashboard and his comment section was messed up, despite the fact he was a programmer himself.
So when I heard about John’s service (blog security upgrades), I jumped at it. He was kind and prompt. It’s a great service and well worth the money.
I also heard he helps bloggers who are using free domain services like wordpress.com move to their own domain with WP. I recommend that, too, because that would give far better control and security of the blog.

What convinced me to host with WP Blog Host was the fact that all the other hosts suggested to me made it clear that they preferred you not to call them when you needed help. They displayed phone numbers on their home pages but I learned that after you sign up, those numbers are for pre-sales only and the company did not provide phone support, you had to use a ticked email system instead.
WP Blog Host made it clear right from their home page that if I ever ran into trouble with my hosting, there would always be a real person I can call and talk to. Since then, I've also learned that man . . . they answer the phone fast.

What I love best about WP Blog Host is their control panel. I hosted my blog with two other companies both of which used a control panel called, cPanel. I found that control panel confusing because it had a bunch of folders and files cluttering up my file manager which bewildered me and I never used. WP Blog Host's control panel is clean and simple to use while also providing all the functions bloggers need.
